PAIN IS A WARNING SIGNAL THAT OUR BODIES SEND TO OUR MINDS AS A RESPONSE TO AN INJURY, ILLNESS, OR OTHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL AILMENT. AS A RESULT, OUR MIND ACTIVATES THE HEALING PROCESS IN THE AREA OF THE BODY EXPERIENCING PAIN.

Pain is a warning signal that our bodies send to our minds as a response to an injury, illness, or other physical or mental ailment. As a result, our mind activates the healing process in the area of the body experiencing pain. Once this healing process is over, typically our bodies will stop experiencing pain in that area.

However, in some situations, we may feel pain even after the initial healing process has been completed.

When this pain continues for three to six months or longer, we call this Chronic Pain. The situation of experiencing Chronic Pain may affect someone mentally and physically. Therefore, proper treatment is necessary before the condition becomes even more severe. Acupuncture is an excellent and highly effective treatment for someone suffering from Chronic Pain.

If left untreated, Chronic Pain can develop into a condition called Chronic Pain Syndrome (CPS). Due to this condition, someone may suffer symptoms like depression and anxiety because of the pain and the way it interferes with their daily life.

Though treating chronic pain may seem challenging, it is not a lost cause! While methods like counseling, therapy,

PT, and other relaxation techniques such as massage are extremely helpful for addressing and managing the emotional, mental, and physical symptoms and side effects of chronic pain—Acupuncturists work at eliminating the root of the problem. Stimulating repair and regeneration within the area of pain on the level of the nervous and energetic systems in the body—receiving frequent Acupuncture treatments can dramatically reduce the chronic pain one may experience and eventually free them entirely from the condition.

Pain and Acupuncture

How does this work?

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing modality used to generate healing for a variety of medical conditions through the strategic placement of thin needles by trained and certified professionals at various points on the skin, along the meridian channels of the body.

Receiving Acupuncture for pain treatment neither results in injury nor causes any severe discomfort, the needle placements rather signal to the mind that healing is needed at the points of placement. In response, the mind stimulates the immune system, promoting blood circulation in the area, wound healing, and pain modulation. After a period of receiving frequent acupuncture sessions, chronic pain will have dramatically reduced due to the powerful effects of this ancient healing technology.

What are the benefits of acupuncture for chronic pain?

There are many benefits of receiving acupuncture for Pain, some of which are listed below.

  • It can permanently treat chronic pain syndrome within a few sessions.
  • It doesn’t have negative short-term or long-term side effects; therefore, you don’t need to compromise your daily routine after the acupuncture session, although we recommend taking it easy and finding some moments for relaxation so that your body can fully integrate the treatment. You also don’t have to worry about the treatments having any long-term negative impacts on your health, since Acupuncture is a holistic science and works to improve all aspects of your health in combination with tackling specific needs. Therefore, Acupuncture does not compromise any organ functioning like some prescriptive medicines can do when treating specific ailments.
  • Acupuncture is a very accessible practice! And people can move through their problems rapidly, seeing Acupuncturists as often as twice a week for rapid recovery from injury or Chronic Pain!
